Many families today continue the tradition of looking to Catholic schools for the education of their children. The student population broadly reflects the diversity of Australian life and culture across the Diocese, with enrolment of students from non-English speaking backgrounds, from indigenous cultures, and students with exceptional ability, students with disability and additional needs.

St Mary's as guided by the enrolment policy of CEDWW strives to respond to the needs of all students, within the constraints of the available teaching and material resources. We recognise the entitlement of all students to access educational opportunities that nurture the Catholic faith, expand life choices, cater for the disadvantaged, and challenge all students to reach their full potential.
The CEDWW Enrolment policy exists to ensure the equitable allocation of student places according to the Vision and Mission of Catholic schools.

CEDWW Vision Statement:
Inspired by the message and actions of Jesus Christ we nurture excellence as a Community of Learners, so all may flourish in the fullness of their humanity.

St Mary's School Council consists of representatives from staff, parents and the Parish. Parents are encouraged to nominate to become a member of the School Council.

It serves several key roles for the school community.  Council has no no immediate responsibility or influence toward the day to day operation of the school but is an advisory board to support the Principal and the ongoing and continued focus of school improvement.

The School Council meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.

Each year St Mary's has a specific plan to support our goal of continual improvement. Our goals are shaped by the strategic and system goals of CEDWW (Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga)

Our annual goals fit within each of the following focus domains:

  • Evangelisation and Religious Education
  • Learning and Teaching
  • Community Engagement
  • Leadership and Stewardship
