As you are aware the St Mary’s Tuckshop has been unable to run this year, due to changes with new food safety requirements for Australian food service, caterer and related retail businesses.
In order to be able to assist in the Tuckshop, (or other events with food) parent volunteers will need to complete the Free Online Food Safety Training provided by Federation Council.
St Mary’s has decided to host a night, where parents and friends can come together and complete the Free Online Food Safety Training together.
- The evening will begin at 6pm in the School Library on Wednesday 1 May.
- Laptops/iPads will be provided for all attending.
- Training will take approximately an hour.
- Participants will receive a certificate on completion.
- If you are unable to attend, but would still like to complete the course, the online training course can be found here.
- Children are most welcome to attend if need be, if that assists parents being able to attend on the night.
We understand this is an additional amount of time to add onto our volunteers, however until we have enough volunteers completing the course, we will not be able to run a Tuckshop at St Mary’s.
